Hello! I played along over at Once upon a sketch's October challenge. The challenge is to scrap the girls in your life. For my interpretation, I used a picture of myself when I was about 20yrs old. I used modeling paste and watercolors for the flowers. I don't usually use much orange but I really like the pink/orange combo. My journaling in on the back. It reads:
The things I could tell that girl. The trials and tribulations she will go through. The doors that closed. The ones that broke her heart. The better doors that opened. The times she wasted worrying. The other times she didn't worry enough. The people that will make her stronger. The people that will only tear her down. The path that she walked when surely the other may have been easier. In the end, I'm not sure I would tell her anything. Her heart led her here and here there are no regrets. Only lessons learned that make me who I am. She can stay back there without any clues while I live for today.

Love This Smile
Hey there! I completed a layout using the current sketch #280 at Creative Scrappers. It's a really fun sketch and I had a lot of fun with the circles. I am also playing along with the Bingo challenge at Scrap Our Stash challenge #19. This is a really busy LO for me with all of the patterns but the pictures are so big and bright, I think it works pretty well. I used polka dot paper, Polaroid, wood veneer (heart & sequins), wood veneer sequins, and stickers. Thanks so much for looking!!

One Fall Day
Hello Scrappy Ladies! I'm playing along with a couple of challenges to make a Fall themed layout. So I live in Florida. I don't have beautiful Fall photos. Or weather. But we do have cooler mornings, some leaves changing, and festive activities that make it 'Fall'.
Frosted Designs Friday challenge is to create anything with a Fall theme. I do love Fall (even if ours is not as beautiful as some states) and it was a fun challenge.
I am also playing along with Challenge Yourself to create a Fall themed LO including your favorite part of Fall. My favorite part of Fall is the Halloween festivities. This picture is of me and my son at the corn maze picking out a pumpkin last year. He had such a blast! Can't wait to do it again this year! Since we don't have any pumpkins in the picture, I kind of went 'pretty' with it since that's been my mood lately.
So including this one (finished in September), that was three LO's completed in September...YAY...I'm on a roll, LOL. Let's hope I can get back into the swing of things in October! Thanks for looking!!

Me & You
Hi! I completed a layout that incorporated a few challenges. I used the current September sketch at Once upon a Sketch with a twist of handwriting your journaling on the page. It reads 'You have the cutest face and personality. You bring me so much joy and happiness everyday. Love you!'.
I am also playing along with the Lindy's Stamp Gang color challenge for the first time. I am new to their sprays so I don't have a ton of them. I used the Industrial chic set. Steampunk Sepia, Steel Shimmer (on the roses, feathers, & leaves), and Time Travel Teal (diluted with gesso & painted onto the flourish & butterflies). Seriously adore the colors in this challenge!
I am also linking up to the Creative Embellishments September challenge which was to use one of your favorite CE pieces. I used a Flourish (love the flourishes) and the punched out pieces of the moroccan lattice panel. It worked perfectly popped out of the modeling paste. Love to use those extra little pieces too!

Good Times
Hello! I haven't been scrapping that much lately so it felt good to get a quick page done. I used the current sketch #123 at Sketchabilities. Love their sketches and they're always a good jump start to a page. I am also linking up at Frosted Designs current Friday challenge. The challenge is to 'add graffiti' which could be paint, doodling, or handwriting. I used a brown watercolor pencil to outline the paper strips and modeling paste flourishes to add shadowing. The picture is a 'vintage'...hehe...1979 picture of my Mom, Aunt, and me at Disney. Thanks so much for stopping by!!!

CSI: Color, Stories, Inspiration Special Investigator
Hello! I was invited by the super talented Debbi Tehrani to be a Special Investigator for September over at CSI: Color, Stories, Inspiration. It's such an honor and I'm so happy I got the opportunity. I have been following (offline stalking:-) the site since it's inception and just started posting my takes within the last few months (once I decided to jump into the online world). The case files are so fun and challenging and everyone is super nice, so head over if you haven't already!
The first layout is for casefile #138 and it was a really fun one. I love the colors and the cute quirky evidence prompts. I used triangles, loops, grid pattern, buttons, numbers, and stars. For my testimony I tucked my journaling into an envelope.

For casefile #139 I decided to go the 'pretty' route and scrap a pretty kitty. For my evidence I used stripes, flowers, something fuzzy, and flourishes. For my testimony I documented something special about a pet or animals (journaling on back). And of course this one was sketch inspired (beautiful sketch by Em Stafrace at Page Drafts).

Wanderlust - August Prima BAP
Hello! I created a layout for the August Prima BAP. First time and I probably have no business considering the incredible talent that they attract for their challenges but I loved LOVED the sketch by Jennifer Snyder. I used some Sunrise Sunset, Free Spirit, Lyric flowers, old Prima wood embellishment, and old Prima alphabet stickers. I used a watercolor pencil for the 'flourish' and it didn't work out as I had hoped but I'm ok with how it turned out. Thanks so much for stopping by!!

Moments Together
Hello! I played along with a couple of fun challenges. There is a black & white challenge going on at the Flying Unicorn Forums and it was so fun to do! I have never made a black & white layout and it actually came together faster than I thought it would.
I knew I wanted to use my 13arts Fly Away collection because of all the lovely black & white (& All is Lovely: Big Love background paper) so I also played along with their lovely sketch challenge (plus use butterfly & 2 mediums). I added two butterfly rub-ons and fussy cut one sitting on top of the flowers. I added black acrylic paint to some gel medium and made the black lines, painted the papers, flowers etc with some gesso, and sprinkled gesso & black glimmer spray over the page.
My husband is not into his picture being taken so it was surprising when he said lets take a picture at a booth in the mall in 2007. It was a sketch picture with a silly background but I treasure it because it was his spontaneous idea. So sweet. Thanks so much for stopping by!!!

Just the two of us
Hi! I played along at Once Upon A Sketch for their July challenge. The challenge is to use the sketch and the journaling theme numbers. I chose 'Just the two of us' for my title. The journaling is a hidden tag above the picture.
It reads: I always push you on the swing and and on this day you asked if you could push me. It was so funny. I had to keep reminding you to back up as I went higher so I didn't knock you over. We has a couple of close calls. I enjoy our time together. Just the two of us.

mmm...CAKE
Hello! I played along with Sketchabilities sketch #118 and CSI case file #129. For my evidence in the case file I used a silver metal (geoclip), and chevrons. And for the testimony, I documented this meal (hidden journaling on the back).
It reads: This picture was taken at Granny and Sydneys 50th Anniversary dinner. We had it in a private dining room at a local restaurant. It was a very lovely evening with lots of smiles, laughter, and good food. By the time the champagne and cake came out, all of us were so full. Except for you boys. Aunt Kelly and Uncle Tom brought the cake, so Finn was asking about that cake throughout the whole meal. Cake is always the best part of the meal for a three and five year old! Both of you were so happy when it came. That was the quietest we saw both of you all night! Your face says it all. Mmm...CAKE!!

Sweet Little Moments
Hello! I made a last minute layout with the June 15th Stuck?! Sketches sketch and solved Case No. 128 for CSI: color, stories, & inspiration. I truly hardly ever use purple so I had to dig around for some. I had planned on some background paint too, but things are not working out for me today, even getting a decent picture was getting on my nerves. One of those days :(. Thanks so much for stopping by!
