Me & You

Hi! I completed a layout that incorporated a few challenges. I used the current September sketch at Once upon a Sketch with a twist of handwriting your journaling on the page. It reads 'You have the cutest face and personality. You bring me so much joy and happiness everyday. Love you!'.

I am also playing along with the Lindy's Stamp Gang color challenge for the first time. I am new to their sprays so I don't have a ton of them. I used the Industrial chic set. Steampunk Sepia, Steel Shimmer (on the roses, feathers, & leaves), and Time Travel Teal (diluted with gesso & painted onto the flourish & butterflies). Seriously adore the colors in this challenge!

I am also linking up to the Creative Embellishments September challenge which was to use one of your favorite CE pieces. I used a Flourish (love the flourishes) and the punched out pieces of the moroccan lattice panel. It worked perfectly popped out of the modeling paste. Love to use those extra little pieces too!

Thanks so much for stopping by!!!

Good Times

Hello! I haven't been scrapping that much lately so it felt good to get a quick page done. I used the current sketch #123 at Sketchabilities. Love their sketches and they're always a good jump start to a page. I am also linking up at Frosted Designs current Friday challenge. The challenge is to 'add graffiti' which could be paint, doodling, or handwriting. I used a brown watercolor pencil to outline the paper strips and modeling paste flourishes to add shadowing. The picture is a 'vintage'...hehe...1979 picture of my Mom, Aunt, and me at Disney. Thanks so much for stopping by!!!

CSI: Color, Stories, Inspiration Special Investigator

Hello! I was invited by the super talented Debbi Tehrani to be a Special Investigator for September over at CSI: Color, Stories, Inspiration. It's such an honor and I'm so happy I got the opportunity. I have been following (offline stalking:-) the site since it's inception and just started posting my takes within the last few months (once I decided to jump into the online world). The case files are so fun and challenging and everyone is super nice, so head over if you haven't already!

The first layout is for casefile #138 and it was a really fun one. I love the colors and the cute quirky evidence prompts. I used triangles, loops, grid pattern, buttons, numbers, and stars. For my testimony I tucked my journaling into an envelope.

For casefile #139 I decided to go the 'pretty' route and scrap a pretty kitty. For my evidence I used stripes, flowers, something fuzzy, and flourishes. For my testimony I documented something special about a pet or animals (journaling on back). And of course this one was sketch inspired (beautiful sketch by Em Stafrace at Page Drafts).
